We reported a while back that HTC had being making good profits from their latest device, the HTC A9 which seems to a very good news for the struggling mobile manufacturer against its rivals but it’s not all good news for HTC as they came under fire in Germany. Germany court has granted an injunction request resulting in a ban of selling all its devices including the popular HTC One A9.

Acacia Research Group LLC, a patent licensing firm based in Plano, Texas, won the lawsuit in Germany’s Mannheim District Court on Nov. 27 that granted it an injunction against HTC handset sales through Deutsche Telekom AG, said Acacia Executive Vice President David Rosmann. He also added that the sale ban would take place later this month

This lawsuit was filed by Acacia Research Group last year against the Deutsche Telekom on bases of standard essential patents related to voice coding technology, Mr. Rosmann said.

HTC is currently working with them to control this disruption. Deutsche Telekom representative has claimed that HTC  devices are currently available through their online shop.
