HTC’s upcoming VR headset, HTC Vive gets approval from FCC

The VR headset, many of you are for, has now got green signal from FCC. Yes, I am talking about the HTC Vive. It has appeared in the FCC database with model number 0PJT100 FCC ID NM80PJT100 with final action date of December 24, 2015. Along with the VR headset, Vive Controller, Base Station and Link Box also got certified by FCC on the same date witth FCC IDs NM82PR7100, NM82PR8100 and NM82PU6100 respectively.

If you didn’t know, HTC Vive is HTC’s upcoming VR headset for which it teamed up with Valve to compete Oculus Rift, which is considered as the best VR headset on this planet so far. HTC revealed the VR headset in MWC this year and since then, it has been delays. Few days, they made another announcement that their Vive will be facing a delay till April 2016 because of some “very big breakthrough” in technology which they are going show in the coming CES. HTC claims,”2016 is going to be a big year for VR”.

HTC will be showing the demo of its big breaktrhough in the VIVE event it has organised on January 6-9 in CES, location being Wynn Hotel, Las Vegas. Stay tuned for more info.
