MIUI 7.1 global rollout starts tomorrow, January 5, at 11 AM

Xiaomi announced MIUI 7.0 few months back and now, they have announced that they will be rolling out an update to their MIUI interface. They have not mentioned whether it will still be based on Kitkat or anything newer and the changelog of the same will be posted tomorrow. The rollout for MIUI 7.1 will start tomorrow, i.e., January 5, 2016 at 11 AM and it will be globally.

The update will be over-the-air and the devices which will be getting the OTA updates are Xiaomi Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi Note, Mi 4i, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi 2 / Prime, Redmi 1S, Redmi Note Prime, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 3G and Xiaomi Mi Pad. The MIUI 7 Global Stable ROM V7.1.2.0.LXAMICK for their Xiaomi Mi 2/2S has already been released which can be downloaded from here.

We have to wait till tomorrow to see what exactly this update is going to bring to their series of handsets.
